I just saw that there is a great sale on veal shanks this week. Does anyone have a great recipe for osso bucco? I had one that I liked but I think I culled out that cookbook. I am looking for the traditional recipe but could be persuaded otherwise.

Morn'in Mary (for me any way).

I use CI's recipe. Love osso bucco. If you don't have that recipe, let me know. Are we invited for dinner?

Of course you are invited, I have a ton in the freezer now so I will start the risotto and you grab your coat.

Mary,

You're a couple hundred miles from Milan, and you can't find a traditional recipe for osso buco?

Anyway, the traditional accompaniment is risotto alla Milanese, of course. Ideally, made using beef stock from the veal trimmings and bone marrow.

Fuzzy,
I probably could, I just like to ask you guys first.

Kathy,
We certainly could. And then fall into a food/wine coma like after our Parisian cooking class.
