Ok, let's think about this: "Horses are Vegetables". Vegetables are related to fruits. Therefore men who relate to horses are fruits?

Patience, gardnercook, little Lindsay is reaching out here; notice the question mark. She seeks the answer (as do we all). While it’s good to encourage her, I believe edification is in order. Frank, we must get that woman some chili (aka, enlightenment). When she begins to confuse cowboys with cranberries it’s time for some cayenne & Coronas. (By the way, where the heck is this thread headed?)

OK…point one…Horse Apples are not an edible fruit but a derivative of fruits and vegetables, and various grasses ingested by said horse. They in turn can be used to grow other fruits and vegetables.. If true “You are what you eat.” Then all men can be called “fruits” or better yet…a derivative of you got it…a horses a**. If true…my ex wife of many years ago may have indeed been correct! .Without further (please) clarifications of your word “relate” in regard to aforementioned horses. I will stand by the findings of my research.
I therefore must insist that lady Lindsay dust off her culinary skills and make my “WORLD FAMOUS” chili and then and only then come forth with glowing commentary only possible when the scales have fallen from her eyes in regards to “real” chili!!
Perhaps Marilyn (of toffee fame) who works for the Ad Agency that produces the Corona Commercials can offer insite to the enlightening effects of the vegetable known as “Corona” and the benefits of adding lime?? Perhaps Wino could be a part time lab rat?? No??
As for where the thread is headed??. Who cares…I’m havin a ball here!

I can hardly wait to try your recipe, Frank. Do you think real beer will harm it?

Dunno...I would at least try once as written...then make it your own. I got the original recipe frome farmingfool and tweeked" it to it's current form.
I would not use a light beer...

Hmm, one more reason to pick up that 6-pack of Bud for cooking. At least I won't be tempted to drink it rather than put it in the food.

Alright, here's the deal. I will definitely try this as long as someone can truly justify calling Bud a "full-bodied" beer. I like my beer (and my men) not only full-bodied but full-flavored --unlike any Bud I've ever tasted, (or, dare I say it, Texas male that I've met). Of course I am open minded, if just a bit mean spirited as I look out at our fifth snow storm of the last month. So I can be convinced.

Lindsay, maybe try reducing that Bud before using.

5 buds ought to reduce down to something "full-bodied", leaving 1 for bread-making. I'll probably grab some XX Amber, though. One for the pot and 5 for dinner sounds better.
