For me it's cocktail hour.

Cocktails and Wizard101 are not mutually exclusive.

The texture is really good without the added step of blanching the peppers. Also, it frees up the oven for CC's oven polenta, which is what I usually make to go with all of the extra sauce that the peppers recipe makes. I usually don't make stuff in the slow-cooker because I expect it will be easier. I do it because I want or need the time right before dinner for something else -- like Wizard101 with my kid.

Okay, thank you. Slow cooker meals that are less than 8 hours don't normally work for me, but right now I am home, so we may give this a shot.

One of my pet peeves! "A slow cooker will let you cook food while you are at work, and it is ready when you get home!". "Here are a bunch of recipes that are all 4-6 hours".

I don't know about you guys, but I work more then 6 hours. This was a leading reason I got rid of my slow cooker, not enough real recipes I could actually prepare in the morning reasonably before work (the good tasting ones usually involve searing yadda yadda) plus time lines which rarely worked. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.
