The only modification was to replace 4 TB of the flour with wheat germ, borrowing from another recipe. Hope it was good - we gave it to our neighbors along with some Irish stew for watching the house while we were gone. :)

I think their volume-to-weight conversion (4 cups WW flour = 1 pound) is off because I had to plus up the buttermilk to get the "stiff batter" consistency they mention.
