Ok I know there are other posts on here for cornbread but I need a recipe for one with no types of oil in it due to allergies. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Howdy and welcome to the board!

Theoretically one could make cornbread with only dairy products and no oil ... what oils are you allergic to exactly?

P.S. if you have not already, I suggest reading the following posts to get you acquainted as a new member:

Is butter okay? Honestly, I don't have any cornbread recipes that use oil, they all use melted butter.

Butter should be fine as long as it's not a margarine or a mix. I've tried a couple that have melted butter but they seem to be harder then oil...and no I didn't over cook them :p

Please let us know how well whatever you use works and WELCOME :!: :D

You need to make sure the butter is melted, then allowed to cool a bit. I always melt it before I get started on the rest of the recipe. Add your other wet ingredients to the dry ones and stir just enough to dampen the dry ingredients, then add the butter and stir the rest of the way.

If you're looking for something fool-proof, Cook's Country has a very easy recipe for honey cornbread. I can PM it to you if you don't have access.

Is it an issue with fat? (Like a gallbladder issue?) If not I would have suggested bacon fat.
