but I can't find the Gogujang sauce. I will probably have to go to Whole Foods in Detroit.

Gojujang/gochujang recipe.

It might be easier to go to WF though. It says you have to let it ferment for 2-3 months.

There are a lot of Korean groceries in the Detroit area. If you have to schlep your cookies that far anyway, maybe you should try one. We used to go to the Seoul Grocery on Beech in Southfield. They had beautiful live kimchi.

You can buy it online at fairly inflated prices.

Also, since Annie Chun brand now offers the sauce, if you can find a major supermarket (e.g. Safeway, Andronico's) in a mixed-ethnicity neighborhood somewhere closer, they may stock it.

Or I could ship you some. I suspect that the shipping will be more expensive than the sauce, though.
