I tried these once & we didn't like them. I don't think we made them properly. Anyone have a recipe? I should be able to just roast them, but I didn't do a very good job. Kale is waiting in the fridge. :o
TIA

Kathy,

They can have a slightly bitter aftertaste. Tossing the kale with balsamic vinegar/oil vinegar and a sprinkle with salt works wonders.

Dehydrated kale leaves with a bit of nutritional yeast sprinkled over it has a dangerously short life expectancy in my house.

Our favorite recipe for raw kale is Kale & Brussels Sprout Salad

I wash, dry well (making sure to remove the stem) and rub evoo over (a little goes a long way), lay on a parchment covered pan in a single layer and sprinkle with salt. Roast for 15 minutes or so at 275. My 14 year old inhales them.

I like to wash them and let them dry overnight, and then really massage the oil into all the ridges in the kale.

The thick center stems are bitter....so make sure to cut them out. I toss with EVOO, a little soy and bake at 250 for 20 minutes.
