Well looky here! Marilyn speaks and the Sun(nny) rises! It is a Christmas gift indeed!

So very good to hear from you both :P

Sunny, no...I have tried to find a more efficient way to make the toffee but so far nothing has worked but a single 3lb. batch at a time.

One batch takes about a 25 minute commitment including the packaging. I have created a monster... :( People get pretty bold this time of year about being on the "toffee list" I have one little 80+ year old lady that calls me about once a month concerning her "fix"...I feel like a drug dealer. I gladly oblige her...she's a sweet one.

Funny you should mention that...our latest Foreign acquisition has expressed interest in helping a bit this year, she participated in making one batch, she is 17 and I don't mind her being that involved in stirring lava. The middle child (11) has been doing some of the vacuum sealing. The youngest is content with eating it.

Hi Phoenix,

Nice to meet you!

Unfortunately no, I do not have a good carmel recipe, wish that I did, or if I did I have lost it, the recipe, lol.
Happy Holidays,

Sunny

I just bumped the caramel thread since I bought new wrappers.

Frank, my 14 year old just wants to eat it whereas the almost 13 year old wants to make it. On his own. . In a few years we need to sit down and discuss dowries and living arrangements. ;-)

Frequently I Google "Marilyn's Toffee" to see where the recipe has spread. It's definitely out there!
