All,
So I borrowed a Puerto Rican cookbook from the library, and was quite annoyed to find that it has no recipe for Pink Beans, which I consider the essential Puerto Rican dish (along with Tostones). Maybe the Puerto Ricans don't see it that way.
Anyway, I've found lots of recipes on the intertubes, but thought I'd throw this out in case anyone on the board has actually made Pink Beans and has a recommended recipe which they've road-tested -- especially since most of the recipes I'm finding online depend on canned beans and jarred ingredients instead of dried and fresh. Thanks!
