Well.... hello guys. Bittersweet reading through Amy’s responses here. I’m going to make a batch tomorrow for work. Any idea if Ghirardelli chips will work ok? Just bought me a nut chopper. I’m excited.

Speaking in general, Ghiradelli chips work fine. But I've never made the toffee.

I use Aldi's semi-sweet chips & they are great. I had a problem when I accidentally grabbed milk chocolate chips & I had great difficulty getting them to melt. They must have extra stuff to get them to hold their shape.
