Folks,

I made quiche tonight and added something I'm surprised I've never seen in a recipe before ... saffron. It goes really well with eggs, and was very tasty.

Anyone else make quiche? What do you add to it?

I like to make a turkey and pine-nut filling with southwest kinds of flavors-sage and cumin and a hit of chili. Sometimes diced squash ends up there as well. I've liked saffron in egg things since I went to Spain.
The Amish use it a lot too.
