Hi folks, Living Cookbook has a new version, 2015. Upgrade licenses are $14.95 now will go up to $19.95 soon.

I've been beta testing the new version and really like it. Among its features is the ability to upload recipes to the web. This is a precursor to being able to view the recipes from any device, e.g. iPad, Kindle, etc. It has the ability to share recipe files directly between friends (who also have LC 2015).

Info on all the enhancements is available here as well as in the Living Cookbook website.

Thanks. I didn't do the last upgrade, but if I can finally use a device with LC, I might do this one.

So, you won't be able to view recipes on the iPad until the next upgrade?
That's a feature that I really, really want.

The website is up and usable. At the moment there is a news feed, the ability to share recipes directly with other users. The ability to store and sync via the web works well already. He's still working on sharing ingredients and techniques. So I think it will be sooner rather than later and certainly well before the next version. They started last year with EveryLastRecipe and have expanded on that. Living Cookbook already has its own new website for help issues, etc. and the old forum is being closed the end of the year.

I believe the upgrade is worth for $14.95 for existing users of any version.

LC software is the single most-used tool I have for cooking-related material;
I couldn't be without it. I'm definitely in for the new version.

Do you know if you have to upgrade immediately? I'm still ummmm running XP :oops: and it's not compatible. I'd love to save the $5 and buy it now, but hold off on installing it until my new computer materializes.

I see no reason why you can't buy now and hold it; The upgrade never expires.
If you're unsure you can email them and you will get a very quick answer.
