and I wanted to roast some Garlic at the same time. Could I have done this or would the Garlic aroma have permeated my Apple pie?

If you wrapped the garlic in heavy duty aluminum foil you would have been fine.

I think I would play it safe, and put the garlic in the oven when the pie comes out. After all, no matter how securely you wrap the garlic, the steam has to go somwhere.

Then again, has anyone ever garlic in an apple pie, say out in Gilroy? ;)
