Amazon is offering China Moon for $2.99 for the kindle, which I can view on my iPad and computer. I seem to remember reading about this book in the CI forum, but can't remember what the discussion was. I am hoping someone is familiar with the book and can tell me if it is worth $2.99. Thanks.

I have that book, and it has very good recipes. However, the main problem I found with it was that there are MANY sauce recipes in the beginning, and you have to have a lot of them made and ready to use to make many of the recipes in the book.

I will say that this book has the best selection of steamed bun recipes that I have found in any of my books.

I agree with Dave...I have the book and have liked it, but it does require some patience to use. I would definitely buy it for $2.99

I love this book, too. Dave is right about the sauces!

Plan a weekend day to make the sauces and this book is great. Most of them don't take long to do, and if you make one big shopping list for all of the ingredients you can easily be set for months. The orange-chili oil is a staple at my place.

I love the orange chili sauce. The first time I made it I had it proudly displayed on the counter when one of the kids came running through with his bookbag and accidently knocked it off. This was absolutely the worst mess I've ever had to clean up! Walls, floor, counter top, stove, table. Everywhere. It was weeks before I felt like I had gotten all of it wiped up. It kept appearing in the damnedest places. And the aroma!! Deadly! A couple of months later when I pulled the stove out to clean, there it was again. Had to scrape it up with a putty knife. Years have passed and I can laugh now, but I tell you, I was in tears that day.
