I'm trapped in the house between the weather, and not having wheels, so I was flipping around and the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has a cooking show on called "Anna and Kristina's Grocery Bag." From what I can gather, they not only cook a cookbook, but they do taste and equipment tests.......

I'm not Oprah's biggest fan (most of my family lives in Santa Barbara) so I haven't really looked at her network. I don't know that any good can come from this. Today, they are cooking Giada de Laurentis. I can't find Sarah Moulton.

They used to have a show called "The Shopping Bags". It was a Canadian program. They reviewed all kinds of products - shampoo to snow mobiles. They're cute and it was kind of fun. Don't know what happened to it but I did see a bit of their first show on OWN where they did Julia's Vol 1, onion soup and something else. They made a mess of it. I don't get the premise of the show and I don't think it will last long. Personally, I've never watched much of Oprah and what I've seen of her network, doubt I'll start now.

Sarah Moulton is on at 6:00 am here on the Cooking Network. Sometimes she's on Create but not daily.

I see Sarah on Create, but they're always reruns. I wish there were some real cooking shows on again, instead of cooking theater.

I heard Diana Kennedy on public radio over the weekend. Why can't show her old programs along with Madeline Kammen? Those were REAL cooking shows.

FYI, Anna and Kristina are still on here, their show is on W Network and is 100% Canadian. They are no longer doing the shopping bag show, only the grocery bag one. I quite like that show. http://www.wnetwork.com/Shows/Anna-Kris ... y-Bag.aspx
Hmmm, when I went to the W site it appears they are also hosting a Beauty Bag show. Haven't seen that one.

I like Oprah. Now I think in the last few years she has allowed herself to make more of her personal opinions and views public, and not everyone will agree with them. I do not agree with many of them.

However, I totally respect anyone that does as much good as she tries to do. I think she is a good person, and her shows are pretty entertaining and informative to me. (Even though we differ in political views....)

So, I am watching her network and I have fallen for this cooking show. I knew they had to be Canadian. The shows were made in 2008 though, according to Dish Network. Maybe it took that long to get them to America?

They make me feel like a better cook, that's for sure. They are hilarious. I assume they are sisters?

I like Anna & Kristina. Sometimes when they were reviewing products on their first show it was like watching Lucy & Ethel. I got a big kick out of them. Then the show just disappeared.
