Just saw a commercial on the Food Network for their new spinoff....The Cooking Channel, debuting May 31. the website is www.cookingchannel.com and looks like it might be interesting...less"entertainment" and more about food and cooking, although with the FN folks in charge, it will no doubt eventually morph.

I've been seeing commercials for it too. I am hoping my cable company adds it to their package. I will be interested in checking it out. I hope you are right and it will be more about cooking and less about fluff.

This will replace the Fine Living Network (FLN) so maybe if you currently have that there's a chance that you'll get The Cooking Channel...

Thanks for the info Pete. Unfortunatly I don't get FLN, I had it with Direct TV, but got tired of the signal going out because the dish was covered with snow. Since it was on the roof it was a real PITA. Amagine me out on the deck in boots with a broom attached to a long 2x2, reaching for the dish..not a pretty site I tell you.

Laurie, you would be shocked at how many full episodes of television shows you can get on your computer now. I've had RePlay (now out of business, but a TiVo competitor) since it first came out, and now rarely bother with it. The guys are for Axe Men/Swamp Loggers/Deadliest Catch, and me......? Not so much. Dexter, Weeds and Cooking shows. Oh, and of course, Castle.

Oh I know I watch on hulu all the time. It's especially nice at work when I don't feel like doing anything, but have to be here. The good and the bad of being the boss..lol

I went through today's line-up and it doesn't look much different than Food Network to me. Disappointed.
