We watched this last night. I'd give it a B-. More a low budget, slow moving chick flick that makes you all teary than a foodie movie. The Chef that Katherine Zeta Jones falls for is pretty hot, that made it worth it. And there are a couple of funny scenes with restaurant customers sending food back to the kitchen, and a feel good spagetti eating scene. The child actor is very good, and I liked the music.

Lynn,

Thanks for review. I saw this with the sound off in an airplane, and what I saw didn't make me inclined to turn the sound on. Thanks for confirming that.

I also watched this on the plane and was mildly amused for being on a plane but glad I didn't (1) pay movie theater prices to see it; or (2) netflix it.

On the other hand, I was pleased to find that Ratatouille is available for free on the Netflix unlimited streaming program.

Pete,

Oh! We loved that movie. Just incredible. Someone at Pixar is a a real foodie.

They had the animators study Thomas Keller and crew

Somehow I didn't make it to the theaters when Ratatouille was out :o ; I bought the DVD when it was released
