Has anyone else seen this show on PBS? It's hosted by several different cooks in Scandanavia. The scenery is beautiful and the foods interesting - all filmed outdoors so far. One hostess, from Norway is not a great cook, but is hilarious to watch. Darling, and cooking local things out on the beach or in the mountains. Her lamb dish was not very appetizing, but it was truly entertaining to her her fawn over the products and put it all together in spite of herself. One of the hosts from Denmark did this incredibly interesting spread outside on some ocean bluffs in Denmark. He used all local farm ingredients with some twists, like cabbage juice in a salad dressing. It's sponsored by Scandanavian travel businesses.....the cooking is fun to watch and if you have ever been to these areas it's a trip down memory lane. I haven't seen it but the TiVo says it starts on January 3 here. We'll check it out! |
