Watching ATK, the episode with Pasta Primavera, and Chris said, and showed a photo of him "before he lost 200 lbs.!" Really? Does anyone know if that's true? And why are we just now hearing about it?

Hell, I've lost 200 pounds - probably closer to 300 - unfortunately it was interspersed with putting it back on: 20 off 21 on, 15 off 16 on, etc. :D :lol: :roll:

Well, I've had some weight problems, but the photo he showed was of a 'big ole' boy!" I just dont' get why, if it's true, he would just now make this public, and why he would choose food as a business venture - similar to an alchoholic opening a still or a wino starting a winery, or ......etc.

Maybe he's simpatico with Paula Deen?

The picture in question appears at 14:00 into Pasta Please, show #1205. It looks manipulated to me.



The picture follows Adam's enthusiastic endorsement of a Sous Vide Supreme water oven. Last week it was featured on ATK radio. It is probably only a matter of time before a guide to sous vide cooking appears in Cook's Illustrated or at the very least pinned up on America's Test Kitchen Feed along with requisite command to go out and buy a new $400 toy. YAY!!!

There may even be a new cookbook in the works. "The Sous Vide Revolution" will fit in nicely with their other two revolutionary cook books.

That's a surprise, but it does look like him (even has the bow tie). I never heard him talk about losing weight, or anyone else. Might explain why he never went into the kitchen for lunch, but usually got a salad or something healthy at the MidEastern take out place near the office.

It sure looks like CPK's face and probably is from the nose up. Look closely at the skin tones. Around the bags under the eyes you can almost see where the face was assembled from two pictures.

Besides, the fat man has the hair line and color of a 60ish geezzer. Compare with the hairdo from the early years in this America's Test Kitchen 10 years of Highlights when the dude with the bow tie was probably not yet 50.
