I am watching Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (saved on DVR). Wow! First 15 minutes into the show, and I see why I decided to start grinding meat at home a few years ago.
Got to back to the show (trying to go pass all of the drama within).

I loved the last series so I can't wait to watch this one.

We caught a few minutes of it. While I agree with much of what he is saying, I wonder just how much impact it will have. It's so difficult to motivate people to make real changes in their diet.

Wallflour, I agree about grinding meat at home. I've been doing it for some time, or else buying only meat ground fresh in the grocery store. It's a PITA when you just want a quick burger, but completely worth it.

I did not realize that the "pink slime" was in a full 70% of pre-ground beef sold in stores. Yum, yum. Please pass the ammonia!

I forgot to set this to record. Maybe they will replay the first episode. I also grind my own meat. I have to do some chuck today actually.

Yes Darcie, it is sad but true, people will pay attention for a while but it seems like they go back to their old habits, and that doesn't happen only on food related subjects.

Missed the first ep; hope to catch it on Xfinity TV. Only last season is available now but it's a little soon after the airing.
Check that: Last night's episode is available just not in the listings yet.

Just watched it, loved, am going to start a fan club. I think I disagree about people's ability to change though. It takes time and effort BUT... do you wear a seat belt, do you smoke, do you know gay people who are open about their relationships, is there a black president? Bit by tiny bit. Before you know it a certain someone will be saying, "well, a few beans in there aren't too bad."
